Needle in a Haystack Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt

The Downtown Alpharetta Trade Association is sponsoring Needle in a Haystack Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt beginning Monday September 26, 2011. Needles will need to be turned in by 11am at the DATA booth at the Alpharetta Farmers Market on October 1st.  Winners will be announced at 1:30pm at the stage at the Alpharetta Brew Moon Fest also on October 1st.

 
Come one come all, to each downtown store. It's as easy as 1 2 3...and you keep the score! Follow the clues each scarecrow will give, you will win treasures and surely live!

1. Find a “downtown” scarecrow. Study it good, study it well. Behind it will be the name of a store that only it can tell!  Study the crow, what is it made of and how is it groomed, but do not touch it for you shall be doomed!

2. Go to the store and look around, see what they have and what can be found.  Study the store, what do they sell, this is a clue for all to be well.  Ask for a needle only this store can give, collect them all, and you shall live. By keeping a list of all they offer, you’ll remember the clues and gain coins for your coffer!  

3. The haystack is all of downtown, the scarecrow’s the clue, so roam around!  The needles are found in each and every store, so follow the clues and gain more and more.   If you find them all, you may not have won, but a test shall be given for each one. Only the ones with the most needles can qualify, so start to search and don’t be shy. The test will vary depending on your age, you must be under 17 to even play.  Remember the clues within each store, do not delay and do not snore!  Roam all of downtown,  the shops and the stores as they hold all the answers, the clues and much more!!!

Official rules: The Downtown Alpharetta Trade Association is the sponsor of this Needle in a Haystack!

1.  Visit each downtown scarecrow, and look for a store listed around its back, not all scarecrows have stores listed .  
2.  Visit each store and ask the clerk for your needle.  Study what kinds of product and services they offer.  Keep a log of your findings so you can recall the clues.  
3.  In the event of a tie with the most needles collected, a test will be given in each age category to determine the winner. The answers for the test will be taken from the products and services that each store offers.  Do not ask the clerk for clues as they do not even know the secret answers.  
4.  The one in each category, with either the most needles or the most correct answers on the test will win the prizes.
5.   There will be test given for each age bracket for children ages  4-17.  Children must be accompanied by an adult or parent. No test will be given unless all of the needles are present the day of the test.  No exceptions.  
6.   The Parents and or guardians have the sole responsibility for each child.
