Windward, Westside Repaving Will Snag Traffic

Alpharetta next week will start repaving the Windward/Westside parkway intersection, which will cause traffic delays.

A project to improve a major intersection is expected to produce heavy traffic flow next week in Alpharetta.

The city next week will start repaving the intersection of Windward and Westside parkway as part of its larger plan to improve the intersection. The work will take place Sept. 23-27, and the work will require the city to frequently close lanes between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.

Drivers are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the intersection. Specifically, those who are traveling east and west should use Old Milton Parkway/ Georgia Highway 120 as their primary route.
