What will be closed Monday on MLK Day?

Local, county, state and federal agencies and offices will be shut down on Monday.

Alpharetta and Milton City Halls – and most government offices – will be closed Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Trash pickup will remain on schedule in Alpharetta, however.

Fulton County Schools also will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, as will financial institutions and Fulton County government facilities.

Worried about how your stocks are doing? Don't fret on Monday, as they won't be doing anything – stock markets are closed.

Most retail stores and restaurants will open for regular hours on Monday. Dropping your school age children off at North Point Mall for the day probably won't be appreciated, however. But you can't drop them off at the Alpharetta Library branch or any other North Fulton library branches, as they will be closed for the holiday.
