Three scouts started the year as newly minted Eagle Scouts in Boy Scout Troop 841.

On Dec. 30, Justin Moore, Alexander Gibson and James Breyen successfully passed their Eagle Board of Review and became the most recent Eagle Scouts of Troop 841.

As part of achieving Eagle Scout, the scouts did service projects for their communities in Roswell and Alpharetta.

For Roswell Area Parks, Justin Moore rebuilt six bleachers and two dugout benches for the baseball fields and Alexander Gibson built benches for the tennis courts.

James Breyen built six picnic tables in a natural outdoor space at St. Thomas Aquinas in Alpharetta.

Troop 841 is an active Boy Scout Troop with an emphasis on building leadership and providing many opportunities for boys to become young men. Troop 841 has produced 59 Eagle Scouts.  The Troop was chartered in 1969 by the Crabapple community. In the late 1980s, Troop 841 received sponsorship by Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. It is a member of the Milton District and the Atlanta Area Council.  The Troop currently has more than 45 active Scouts and numerous adult leaders.
