Milton Relay for Life Team Presents 'True Vine & The Servers'

The Hopewell Baptist Church Candy Land team present a night of gospel singing, dinner and auctions to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Anybody can ask for money to support a Relay for Life team. The Hopewell Baptist Church Candy Land team will be doing quite a bit better than that, offering entertainment and a good meal in exchange for donations.

Meal: 5 p.m., plates $7 per person
Singing: 7 p.m., $5 per person

Both True Vine and The Servers will present gospel songs during the entertainment portion of the evening.

The Servers is a gospel bluegrass group based in Villa Rica, in West Central Georgia. The Servers perform traditional bluegrass gospel music, bluegrass with a southern gospel flavor and an occasional acapella number. Members include Kelly McCord, Jeff Wright, Kevin Hunt and Dewayne "Tiny" Morris.

True Vine's members include Chad Holdbrooks of Dawsonville, Ashley Morris of Homer, Eric Holbrooks of Mt. Airy, Kevin Goodwin of Hiawasee, Dwaine Higgins of Baldwin and Michael Bartlett of Cleveland.

Food served will incude fried chicken, cole slaw, green beans, creamed potatoes, a drink and dessert.

There will be a cake auction and other silent auctions during the evening. Sweets can be purchased from the Old Fashioned Candy Shoppe.

All proceeds go to Relay for Live American Cancer Society.
