Learn To Bake Cakes Like The Pros in Milton

Better Together will partner with Milton's Nothing Bundt Cakes to give tutorials on cake decorating to residents.

Milton's Better Together will join forces with a local business to teach residents how to perfect the art of baking cakes.

The city's citizens volunteer committee will launch a series of events designed to connect Milton residents with local businesses, and the inaugural event will be held at Nothing Bundt Cakes.

The event, which is free and open to the entire community, will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 at the business's location, 5230 Windward Parkway.

"We are hopeful this program will provide an opportunity for residents to meet each other and, at the same time, provide support for our local businesses," said Wayne Boston, community builder for the city.

Nothing Bundt Cakes' decorating experts will be on hand to give tutorials on various decorating and gifting options. Of course, samples will be available for tasting.

The first 20 attendees will also receive a free bundtlet each month for a year after an initial purchase. There will be drawings every hour for a special prize, and everyone who attends will receive a coupon for a free bundlet (a $3.99 value).

The Easter bunny will be on site for photos and entertainment.

Milton businesses who would be willing to host an event in an effort to introduce a certain product or service to the community can contact Boston at 678-242-2512 orwayne.boston@cityofmiltonga.us.

Better Together will work with the business to plan an event that will be educational, productive and enjoyable to citizens.
