Hotel Employees Help Non-Profit with Donated Furniture

The nine workers from Alpharetta and Perimeter Center hotels unpacked furniture delivered from Charleston, SC, after a hotel renovation.

Volunteers from Alpharetta hotels joined with their counterparts at a Perimeter Center hotel to deliver 259 pieces of furniture to the Community Assistance Center of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody.

The nine volunteers move 259 pieces of furniture out of 29 Charleston, SC, hotel rooms and bring it back to Georgia. The volunteers came from three local hotels managed by Atlanta-based Hotel Equities:

  • Fairfield Inn & Suites Alpharetta
  • SpringHill Suites Alpharetta
  • Fairfield Inn & Suites Perimeter Center

It took the joint efforts of five firms to make the donation and delivery happen.  Gateway Hospitality donated the furniture from the Comfort Inn in North Charleston when it prepared for a renovation. Hotel Equities’ associates in  Charleston used packing materials donated by Suddath Worldwide to protect the furniture as they loaded it on the donated UPS truck that drove it to Atlanta.  Associates from Hotel Equities’ hotels unpacked and moved the furniture into storage space donated by The Sembler Company.
