Great Escape: Take In A Round Of Golf

Whether you go as a couple or with friends, this sport is sure to calm and relax you.

Each week, Patch finds one activity for the grown ups to do without the kids. As parents we need to get away once in a while to relax and enjoy ourselves. Whether you choose to get out with your spouse or some friends really doesn't matter, just be sure to take that time for yourself and enjoy it. 

This week, Patch suggests you go for a round of golf. If you have never done it, you may be pleasently surprised. Golf is challenging and yet peaceful and quiet. It is fun and a great way to get away from the stresses of parenthood, especially because you probably wont even see other people's kids while you are out on the course.

in Alpharetta is a great course to head over to. Their rates start at $25 for non-members to play and this includes the cart. This price varies depending in the day and time you wish to play. Reservations can be made online where you will see all of the available times and fees. Rental clubs are available from the pro shop.

Once you try it and find that you enjoy it, you can keep on playing. Lessons are available for people of all ages. The pro shop will be happy to assist you with any purchase needs or lesson needs that you may have.
