Go Karts, Donating PB&J Great Activities For Spring Break At Home

If you didn't make it to the beach or some other vacation spot, there's still plenty to do around here.

From a dance performance just for spring break to driving go karts, today's activities should keep kids busy and happy.

Disney's Cinderella Kids–Off Broadway Dance Center at 12315 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, has performances today at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. today for spring breakers.  Reserve tickets by calling 770-664-2410 or email offbroadway@msn.com.

Chess Club: If your child already has a basic knowledge of chess, stop by Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library at 6 p.m. for Masterminds Chess Club. 9560 Spruill Road, Alpharetta.

PB&J: Take your kids to the grocery store to buy some peanut butter and jelly to donate to Bank of North Georgia's Fourth Annual Peanut Butter and Jelly Food Drive to benefit 31 different food pantries in metro Atlanta including North Fulton Community Charities and The Place of Forsyth. Drop off the PB&J at any of the bank's branches.

Start Your Engines: Few kids can resist the allure of a room full of arcade games and the chance to drive go karts. Head over to Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, which as pool tables, bowling, basketball arcade games, pinball and opportunities to redeem tickets for prizes in addition to karting. The youngest kids won't get to race, but there are plenty of other activities.

Visit the Y: If your family has a membership at the YMCA, you can go to the Forsyth or centers for some exercise and fun. If you aren't a member, this week is a great time to check it out.
