Fall Road Paving Continues in Milton

The city is now in the third week of the fall paving program.

The city of Milton has transitioned into the third week of its fall road paving program, which started in mid-August.

The city on Monday began resurfacing Cogburn Road, Upland Court, Double Creek Lane and Mountain Road.

The program is split into two parts--paving and reconstruction, said Public Works Director Carter Lucus.

Weather permitting, roads slated for resurfacing during the week of Sept. 9-14 includes Mountain Road, Henderson Road and Timber Gap Crossing

The next phase of the project will start on Monday Sept. 16, and the city predicts the reconstruction could last around two months. Those roads are:

  • Hamby Road from Hopewell Road to the Forsyth County line
  • Bethany Road from Providence Road to Alpharetta city limits
  • Dinsmore Road from Freemanville Road to North Valley Road
The city will not completely close roads, but each road will be reduced to one travel lane for motorists.
