Community Alliance To Host Internet Safety Workshops

The workshops will provide Milton parents with information on internet trends among children and their use of technology.

Parents in the city of Milton who want to protect their children while they browse the web are invited to attend two cyber safety workshops hosted by the Milton Community Alliance for Mental Wellness.

Two workshops will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at Northwestern Middle School and at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 at Cambridge High School.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia CyberSafety Initiative provides information on trends among children and their use of technology.

A collaboration between the Fulton County School System, the city of Milton and the Milton Police Department, the Alliance works to educate students, parents and the community at large about the importance of mental health and the impacts of pressure, anxiety and peer influence on the city's youth.

More information about the organization can be obtained on its Facebook page.
