Chattahoochee Nature Center Executive Director Resigns

Lou Tabickman will serve as acting executive director until a permanent replacement is found.

The executive director of the Chattahoochee Nature Center has resigned her post.

Ann Bergstrom on Monday formally resigned from the post and Lou Tabickman, a member of the Board of Trustees, will serve as the interim executive director until a permanent person can be installed.

"The Board of Trustees of the Chattahoochee Nature Center would like to thank Ann for having provided strong leadership and direction that helped bring the Nature Center to its current level of success," the board said in a press release. "We value and appreciate Ann’s dedication and contributions to the Nature Center and we extend our best wishes for her future success."

Tabickman said he does not anticipate serving as interim director for very long.

"I am here for the transition to a longer term interim director while we search for a permanent replacement," he said, adding that search could take between 3 and 6 months.

Bergstrom served in her capacity for 14 years, and the board noted it remains committed to ensuring the center mission is carried out.

"We are excited about using this transition as an opportunity to review the Center’s strategy and add even more value to our initiatives and to our community," it added.
