Better Together Will Talk New Milton Library

The volunteer organization will hold a meeting to update residents about the proposed library slated to open in the Crabapple community.

Milton's Better Together volunteer organization will hold a meeting to update residents on the library slated to open in the Crabapple community in 2014.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Thursday Sept. 26 and will take place at the Bethwell Community Center.

Matt Kunz, Milton city councilman and president of the Friends of the Milton Library, will give residents an update on the library's progress and a rundown of current volunteer efforts.

The Bethwell Community Center is located at 2695 Hopewell Road in Milton. The organization also ask those who plan on attending to bring books to donate towards the new library.

If you cannot attend, but would like to donate books or for more information about Better Together, contact Community Builder Wayne Boston at (678) 242-2512 or e-mail wayne.boston@cityofmiltonga.us.

"Everywhere I go the status of the library is a hot topic, so I can't wait to let residents know the tremendous progress we've made recently," Kunz said in a news release. "And bringing books and other materials will get us one step closer to this needed community improvement."

Kunz added new and gently used books of all subjects - especially textbooks, children's books, general fiction and coffee table books -- are welcome for donation. Other forms of media, including CDs, DVDs and audio books are also accepted.
