Alpharetta Wants Teens To Join Art Academy

The academy will be open for teenagers ages 13 to 17 July 28-Aug. 1 at the Alpharetta Arts Center at Crabapple Government Center.

Do you have a teenager who has an interest in art? Would your teen enjoy one last creative adventure before school starts?  

Enroll your 13 to 17-year-old in Teen Art Academy, sponsored by the city of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department.

This one-week art boot camp for teens will be held July 28 through Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The academy will be conducted at the Alpharetta Arts Center at Crabapple Government Center, located at 12624 Broadwell Road.

Teen Art Academy, under the direction of professional artist Kip Rogers, emphasizes the principals of design, drawing, painting and mixed media.  With lots of hands-on demonstration, Teen Art Academy promises to be a thought-provoking and stimulating experience for all.

The academy will include critiques and portfolio work to help further develop the students’ skills and artwork.
