Alpharetta Rotarians Sending 2,200 Eyeglasses to Honduras

Members of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta will join fellow Rotarians from Roswell on a Vision Project trip later this month.

The Rotary Club of Alpharetta presented 2,200 pairs reading eyeglasses and other vision items to the Rotary Club of Roswell to help support their upcoming Vision Projects in Honduras.

The Alpharetta Rotary Club received the eyeglasses as a donation from a private citizen.  Although these were new eyeglasses, they had been stored in open boxes in a warehouse and needed cleaning, polishing, categorizing and packaging. Thirteen new member Rotarians from the Alpharetta Rotary Club volunteered for the task. The team-building event was a great opportunity for the new members to meet, build relationships and have fun while working on this project .

Members from the Rotary Clubs of Alpharetta and Roswell will travel to Honduras in late February to support the Vision Project.
