Alpharetta-Milton Patch Moms Council Needs You

From moms with decades of experience to expectant first-time mothers, your voices are needed to ask and answer questions.

Do you find yourself helping out other moms in solving day-to-day problems and challenges? Or are you a new mom with lots of questions?

You might find being a member of the Alpharetta-Milton Patch Moms Council a good way to share your experiences, or gain knowledge from moms who already have faced the challenges of raising a family, which is shown in Moms Talk, a weekly Q&A by our readers and Moms Council.

How can a mom find some "me" time? What are the most important factors in choosing a babysitter? Is buying in bulk the answer to family budget woes, or is it not worth the effort of struggling with huge packages and unruly children once you get home? Should every mom install a "nanny" cam, or are we all watching too many TV exposés?

What's the best rand of diapers, mac and cheese or juice? Which children's drink is guaranteed to turn your calm child into a hyperactive monster? For your next child, should you just get a dog, instead?

These are just a few issues you might have answers to provide, or need to know. But more importantly, your questions and answers are needed.

As part of the Alpharetta-Milton Patch Moms Council, you can take part in these discussions and make sure this Patch sticks to issues that affect moms here, today.

You can spend as much or as little time as you wish. You can do all this from the comfort of your home, or your office (but get permission before using company computers this way). The Moms Council will occasionally get together in person for lunch so you can put faces to names and voices on the phone.

And I want your opinions and suggestions on what stories and issues should be covered, too. Make this your Patch, it's where you live.

To take part in the Moms Council, contact Tammy Bester or me. Let one of us know what city you call home, how many children you have and how to contact you.

If you are interested in these issues, but don't want to make even this minimal commitment with everything else that's going on, jump in and offer your comments on the Moms Talk column when an issue interests you.
