Alpharetta Gymast All Around Regional Champion on Floor

Roswell Men’s Gymnastics Team rock regionals and head to Junior Olympics National Championships.

Roswell Men’s Gymnastic Team (RMGT) attained success at the Region 8 Championship held April 6 and 7 in Dalton, GA.  Region 8 encompasses gymnasts from seven southern states, including Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.  Of the 725 gymnasts that competed in the Region 8 Championship, 174 were allotted to the top gymnasts winning state placement in Georgia. Roswell Men’s Gymnastics Team was one of the two largest men’s gymnastics team representing the State of Georgia, sending 21 gymnasts to Regionals.

Level 9 Gymnast, Chris Clark, placed 3rd on Floor, 7th on Parallel Bars, 5th on Horizontal Bar and 5th in the All Around category. 

Level 8 Gymnast, Justin Ah Chow, from Alpharetta, placed 7th Pommel Horse, 5th in High Bar, 7th in All Around, and 1st place Regional Champion on Floor.  Justin also competed Junior Elite Technical Sequences and placed 2nd on Floor, 6th on Pommel Horse, 3rd on Still Rings, 4th on Vault, 5th on Parallel Bars, 1st on High Bar and 2nd in All Around.

Additional Level 8 Gymnast, Josh Petramale, placed 8th on Parallel Bars.  Sheldon Sickles placed 8th on Floor.

Level 7 Gymnast, Kofi Reeves-Miller, placed 4th on Floor, 3rd on Still Rings, 2nd on Vault, 2nd on Parallel Bars, 3rd on High Bar, and 3rd in All Around.

Level 6, Toby Liang, placed 7th on Floor, 5th on Pommel Horse, 10th on Still Rings, 7th on Vault, 9th on Parallel Bars, 7th on High Bar, and 6th All Around.  Chase Davenport-Mills placed 2nd on Floor, 7th on Still Rings, 10th on Parallel Bars, and was 1st place Regional Champion on Vault.

RMGT’s Chris Clark (14), Justin Ah Chow (11), Sheldon Sickles (12), and Kaelan Koch-Cochran (12) qualified for the 2013 Men’s Junior Olympics National Gymnastics Championships.  They will compete in the 2013 Men’s Junior Olympic National Championships in Portland, OR on May 30 through April 5, 2013.
