Scouts Perform Independence Day Color Guard/Read Declaration of Independence

This year's City of Alpharetta Independence Day Celebration kick-off was hosted by the American Heritage Society of Georgia. The festivities included music by the City of Alpharetta Band, a reenactment of John Adams' speech to the Continental Congress, the Presentation of Colors and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Scouts from Troop 69 of Alpharetta First United Methodist Church performed the Color Guard and read the Declaration of Independence for a crowd of about 200 people behind the Alpharetta Recreation Center Friday evening.
