Kickoff Party combined for Atlanta and North Metro Step Out Walks

The American Diabetes Association is kicking off its Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes events this Saturday. All are invited to attend the Kickoff Party Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m at The Capital Grille near Perimeter Mall. The event is family friendly and will include a breakfast, silent auction, presentation and family fun festival. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the two walks this fall, Step Out North Metro held in Downtown Alpharetta on October 4 and Step Out Atlanta held at Turner Field on November 8.

“The Step Out Walk Kick off is a great time for families and companies to focus on wellness and start moving.” Rena Cozart, executive director of ADA Atlanta, explained, “We are so excited about the event this year—and are expecting record numbers of people to join the fight to Stop Diabetes!”

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the ADA’s signature fundraising walk. The event has been taking place for more than 20 years and has raised more than $175,000,000 to Stop Diabetes. For more information, contact Adrienne Harrison at aharrison@diabetes.org
