FaithBridge Foster Care to Hold Community Conversation on Foster Care Crisis

ALPHARETTA (Sept. 9, 2013) – FaithBridge Foster Care, a Christ-centered foster care placement agency, invites area leaders to join a community conversation about the foster care crisis in Forsyth and Hall counties on Thursday, September 19 at  The Vine Community Church in Cumming.

The event, which targets pastors, DFCS workers, potential foster care parents and others, will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church located at 4655 Bethelview Road, Cumming, Ga., 30040.

“We want to engage community leaders in foster care ministry by providing an overview of the Forsyth and Hall County foster care population, the FaithBridge Community of Care model and share its impact on Forsyth and Hall county families and children,” said Bill R. Hancock, co-founder and CEO of FaithBridge. “Foster care is a large problem, but the Christian community is even bigger. Churches can partner with established agencies like FaithBridge and together, we can provide a safe, stable solution to the needs of hurting children and families.”

Right now, there are about 57 children in foster care in Forsyth and 126 in Hall and not nearly enough loving homes. There are dozens of churches in both communities that could potentially partner with agencies to find children foster homes.

If you would like to participate, please RSVP to Chuck Campbell at FaithBridge by noon on Monday, September 16 at ccampbell@faithbridgefostercare.org or 678-277-3032. If you are interested in joining FaithBridge  but are unable to attend the event date scheduled, please contact Chuck Campbell to schedule an in-person meeting.
