Milton Police Department Puts Crimefighting Tools in an App

The MyPD app can be downloaded for iPhones or Android phones, but remember to still dial 911 for emergencies.

The Milton Police Department launched the MyPD app, putting what the city calls a staggering array of crime suppression tools into residents’ hands.

Now with one simple-to-use smartphone app, residents can ask questions, commend an officer, submit a tip or feedback with photos, and view wanted listings, crime maps and sex offender listings. There are 24 possible features and options for users, meaning a wide variety of vital information for Milton residents.

“In choosing MyPD, we wanted a way for our residents to interact with the police department in a simple and intuitive way,” said Police Chief Deborah Harrell. “By simply downloading the app, users now have a ton of great features and an open line of communication with the department.”
