Hit 'Em for Hemophilia and Enjoy Tea Service Today

Milton community information meeting gives city residents first glimpse of Bethany/Cogburn development plan.

Golfers Hit Links to Stop Bleeding: The 31st annual Hit 'Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament will be held today, Oct. 29, at the Manor Golf and Country Club and Alpharetta Athletic Club in Alpharetta Georgia. The shotgun start is at 10:30 a.m., two hours after registration beings. Since 1983 the annual tournament has raised more than $12 million for research for a cure for inherited bleeding disorders. Tournament participants at the Platinum, Gold and Silver levels are paired with sports celebrities including Atlanta Braves players, alumni, managers, coaches and announcers. Ladies Enjoy Tea Service, Hay Ride: Scottsdale Farms Nursery will transition an area into a “tea room” today at noon for this luncheon engagement. Full afternoon tea will include tomato basil soup, finger sandwiches, frozen fruit salad & chicken salad on a bed of crisp lettuce, a sweet bread & iced tea. Developer Wants to Build 28 Homes: Arrowhead Real Estate Partners wants to rezone 9.09 acres in Milton at the northeast corner of Bethany Bend and Cogburn Road from AG-1 to NUP (Neighborhood Unit Plan) to  develop 28 single-family homes. After today's community zoning information meeting at 7 p.m. in Milton City Hall's council chambers, a design review board meeting will be held Nov. 5 at 6 p.m.; a Planning Commission meeting Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.; and a City Council meeting on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.
