Child Development Association Celebrates 45 Years, Library Offers Ways to Keep Kids Safe

Big Birthday for Child Development Association: The mayors of Alpharetta, Roswell, and Sandy Springs invite all business and civic leaders to a luncheon honoring the Child Development Association's 45th Birthday on today, Oct. 30, at Country Club of the South. The mistress of ceremonies will be Linda Stouffer, with Bobby D. Cagle as honorary chair. Cagle is commissioner of Bright from the Start of the GA Department of Early Care and Learning. The Child Development Association (CDA) provides affordable early learning programs and childcare for preschool children of low-income families in the metro Atlanta area

Safeguard Your Kids: Operation Safe Kids from U.S. Secret Service Homeland Security workshop will be today from 5-6 p.m. at Ocee Branch Libary, 5090 Abbotts Bridge Rd., Alpharetta. Ages: PreK to 5th grade. Limit of 75. Tickets will be given out 1 hour prior to the start of the program. Operation Safe Kids uses leading technology to produce a biographical document containing a child's photograph along with digitized, inkless fingerprints and other vital identification information. Free.
