The Honda Civic tour comes to Alpharetta on Sunday, Aug. 19, with Linkin Park and Incubus headling a show with Mutemath.

Because Alpharetta's noise ordinance requires the sound system to be shut down at a specific hour, make sure you get to the amphitheater by 6:30 p.m., because that's when the show will start.

Linkin Park is an American Alterntive metal / Alternative rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Formed in 1996, the band rose to international fame with their debut album, Hybrid Theory, which was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and multi-platinum in several other countries, according to the amphitheater's website.

Incubus is an American rock band, from Calabasas, California. The group was formed in 1991 by vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, and drummer Jose Pasillas while enrolled in high school and later expanded to include bassist Alex “Dirk Lance” Katunich, and Gavin “DJ Lyfe” Koppell, both of whom were eventually replaced by bassist Ben Kenney, and DJ Kilmore, respectively.

The band started branching out creatively and earned mainstream recognition with the release of their 1999 album Make Yourself. In 2001, Incubus became even more successful with the single “Drive” and their follow up album Morning View. Their latest studio album, Light Grenades, debuted at #1 in 2006 and has received Gold certification in the U.S.

The amphitheater, summer home to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, is accesible from two Ga. 400 exits, Mansell Road (exit 8) and Haynes Bridge Road (exit 9). With the completion of the southern section of Westside Parkway to Mansell Road, getting to concerts has been made easier. The venue seats at least 12,000, with 7,000 under roof and another 5,000 on the event lawn. The natural bowl of the landscape made for an ideal site. Concertgoers enter at two main gates. Refreshments are available at this top level and at a lower level, serving food from the basics such as hot dogs and burgers to concert-themed dinners. Beer, wine and mixed drinks are available to those over 21. The symphony holds pre-concert activities such as a Q&A session on the event lawn and text messaging from patrons answered by musicians during intermission. Local high schools have used the venue for graduation ceremonies also.
