Fulton County District 3 Commissioner Liz Hausmann will host a Community Meeting on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., to give homeowners a chance to learn about the tax assessment process.  The meeting will take place at the Alpharetta Family YMCA, 3655 Preston Ridge Road.

Members of the Fulton County Board of Assessors staff will be on hand to answer questions about how tax assessments are determined and how to appeal an assessment.

Although residents will not have the opportunity to file appeals at the session, the Tax Assessors’ Office staff will provide information about the appeals process and steps taken this year to make appeals more convenient for residents.  Homeowners who plan to file an appeal can go to www.fultonassessor.org  for information about the appeal process and to file an appeal online.

For more information, contact Dewayne S. Pinckney, Secretary to the Board of Assessors: dewayne.pinckne@fultoncountyga.gov or 404-612-6404.
