TopGolf Building Alpharetta Entertainment Venue

The North Fulton site will be the company's first in Georgia.

TopGolf today officially unveiled Alpharetta as its 11th location worldwide and first location in Georgia. TopGolf will begin construction on the 65,000-square-foot facility, located at 1050 Westside Parkway in May. The site is expected to open to the public in spring 2014, according to a news release from the company.

TopGolf offers competitive golfing games for all ages and skill levels and advanced technology to track every player’s shot. Those who just want to relax can enjoy the upscale, laid-back ambience that boasts more than 230 high-definition flat-screen TVs and an extensive food and beverage menu crafted by executive chef Mark Boyton.

“Alpharetta is one of the main corporate and technology centers in the Southeast, so TopGolf will fit right into the city’s culture with our entertaining, high-tech golf experience,” said TopGolf Chief Development Officer Randy Starr. “We are thrilled to partner with such a fast-developing and forward-thinking city as Alpharetta for our first facility in Georgia.”

The new three-level location – constructed by ARCO/Murray – will include up to 2,900 square feet of private event space and 102 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host up to six players at one time. Starr estimates that TopGolf Alpharetta will serve approximately 400,000 visitors in its first year of operation. Nearly half of all TopGolf guests describe themselves as “non-golfers.”

“We are pleased TopGolf has chosen Alpharetta for its new state-of-the-art facility,” said Alpharetta Economic Development Director Peter Tokar. “The new high-tech driving range and recreational facility is a perfect complement to both the community and lifestyle of Alpharetta residents, as well as the technology driven business community.”
