Suspects Arrested in Alpharetta Hotel on Drug Charges
The following arrest information was supplied by the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. It does not indicate a conviction.
Two people were arrested in an Alpharetta hotel room on drug possession charges after Alpharetta police were called by a hotel manager.
An Alpharetta officer was dispatched to the Marriott on Deerfield because of the anonymous tip the hotel's front desk manager received. When he entered the hotel room, the officer said in his incident report that he saw a glass piple that is commonly used for smoking crack sitting on the bathroom sink. He also spotted two men and a woman in the room.
After confronting the occupants about the pipe, one of the men put his hands in his pockets. After he took his hands back out after an officer ordered him to remove them, the man was handcuffed and said he had some pills. The incident report states the man had a pill bottle in one pocket with 10 Oxycodone and 2 Hydrocodone pills, another pill bottle containing 5 Percocet and 3.25 grams of crack cocaine and $534 in cash in another pocket.
The female suspect was asked if she had anything illegal on her, but police found a pill bottle with a pill identical to one the male suspect had.
