Roundtable Brings CEOs Together at Women in Business Luncheon
The North Fulton Chamber's first event features Arby's president, Hala Moddelmog, as the featured speaker.
The North Fulton Chamber will host its first Women in Business luncheon April 24 at The Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta. Hala Moddelmog, president of Arby’s Restaurant Group, will be the featured speaker.
The vision and purpose for this event is to celebrate professional women and their incredible contributions to business in North Fulton and the Metro Region.
“The Chamber is fortunate to have Hala Moddelmog as our featured speaker for this inaugural event. She brings an incredible wealth of information to the table for all women in business,” said Deborah Lanham, director of Business Services for the Chamber. Lanham added, “We plan to build off of this year’s anticipated success to create a platform for businesses and professional organizations to honor (award) outstanding contributions and accomplishments by women.”
Moddelmog was named Arby’s president in 2010. Her leadership background includes service as president and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and president of Church’s Chicken, where she led the re-imaging of the brand and drove record sales and profit growth.
Moddelmog’s credentials include an M.A. from the University of Georgia, B.A. from Georgia Southern University, and continued education at Harvard University and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She has also received the National Association of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) certification.
The Women in Business luncheon will include a CEO roundtable pre-event beginning at 11 a.m., sponsored by Merrill Lynch. This pre-event brings CEOs, presidents and high level executives together for a powerful exchange of information, ideas and insights. Discussions will be focused on CEO-level issues, the challenges and pressures unique to top-level management and wins/success stories. Roundtable attendees will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to meet with Moddelmog and learn ways to develop professional relationships with their peers.
Companies are encouraged to invite clients and staff to this inaugural event. Registration for the Women in Business luncheon is open to Chamber members and non-members. Doors open for general admission and networking at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $35, and a table of 10 is $350. Reservations can be made online at www.GNFCC.com or by calling 770-993-8806, ext. 306.
