Ladies Tennis Day at North Park Benefits Charity

The Curing Kids Cancer Ladies Tennis Day will be held Thursday, Aug. 30.

Alpharetta's will host a Curing Kids Cancer Ladies Tennis Day on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Hosted by the Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department, the tennis day will last from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will be held at the North Park Tennis Center in Alpharetta. 

It starts with more than two hours of drills featuring some of Atlanta's top professionals, according to a news release from the city. Drills will be followed by a little match play, a trip through sponsor village and lunch served at the courts.

The cost to participate is $50 per person, with 10 percent of the event proceeds to benefit “Curing Kids Cancer,” a national organization that focuses on funding the best research treatments available for pediatric cancer.
