Knights' Baseball Game Ends in Tie

The St. Francis High team holds onto a tie when umpires have to call the game due to darkness.

St. Francis High and Riverside played to a 6-6 tie in a game called due to darkness Tuesday afternoon.

The Knights' record is now 0-1-1 on the young season, reports Coach Jeff Nichols.

The Knights were led at the plate by Alec Pallerino, who went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple.

The Knights were able to hold on to the tie when they threw out the go ahead run at the plate on a relay from Jake Davis to Spencer Orr, who then threw home to catcher Joey Roche who blocked the plate well.

The Knights will return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. against Trion at home.
