Family Holding Prayer Vigil for Milton Teen

Alex Koser was remembered at Alpharetta High today, and this evening he will be memorialized at his church.

The family of Alex Koser, an Alpharetta High School student who died at his Milton home on Sunday, is holding a prayer vigil for him tonight at St. James United Methodist Church on Webb Bridge Road in Alpharetta.

Alpharetta High Principal Shannon Kersey invited the students and families from the high school to attend the prayer vigil, which will be held from 6-7 p.m. at the church, which is just west of Westside Parkway and next door to Alpharetta Fire Station No. 1

"I want to thank all of the teachers and students for pulling together today to support each other as we began the grieving process for our beloved student, Alex Koser," Kersey said in her email invitation.

She said many students took advantage of the Fulton County Schools CARE team today and gathered together to share tears and fond memories of Alex.

"He was indeed a special young man that fellow AHS students described as a 'loyal friend' with a 'great sense of humor.' Alex had a talent for both art and poetry, and he will be very missed by our school community," Kersey said.
