Failure to Stop Helps Milton Catch DUI Suspect

A Milton teen is in a Facebook dispute that spilled into the real world.

 

A Deerfield Point man's failure to stop at a stop sign on Morris Road ended the the motorist also arrested at 8:30 p.m. on April 9 for DUI less safe.

Milton Officer S. Johnson was driving in the Bethany Bend-McGinnis Ferry Road area when he spotted a gray Honda Accord fail to stop at the Morris Road intersection. After pulling the car over, the officer's incident report states that Jonathan King, 34, of Alpharetta, was arrested for DUI less and failure to stop at a red light.

The car was released to his wife's custody.

Motorcyclist Drives Twice the Speed Limit

Freemanville Road has a posted sped limit of 45 mph, but on Friday night, April 8, a motorcyclist drove twice as fast.
Milton Officer P. Fregosi said in his incident report that he was parked on Freemanville, just north of Chicken Creek when he saw a motorcycle approaching at a fast rate. Using his laser speed detection device, Fregosi said he received a 89 mph reading.
The motorcycle was impounded when Fregosi discovered the motorcycle's registration was suspended and it was uninsured.

Paul Nick Fanuzzi, 53, of Alpharetta, was arrested and cited for speeding, no insurance for the motorcycle and suspended registration.

Milton Teen's Facebook Dispute Moved Into the Real World

A Milton teen is involved in a dispute on Facebook that has spilled over into the real world in which a woman was injured and the people involved were told not to contact each other.

Since that incident, the teen's mother said the woman who was injured continues to make threats to her daughter over another person's phone. And other threats continue on the teen's Facebook page. including one from a Silver City man, the teen's mother reported on April 4.
