Did Speeches by Ann Romney and Gov. Chris Christie Live Up to Expectations?

Next to the presidential and vice presidential nominees, Ann Romney and Gov. Chris Christie's speeches were the most anticipated at the Republican National Convention.

Almost no speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. was more hyped than the one of Ann Romney, wife of GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney. It generated almost as much excitement among party favorites as her husband's acceptance speech, which is set to take place on the last day of the RNC. Another much anticipated speech was the one given by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Now that both speeches are over, did they live up to expectations? Ann Romney was reported to be nervous about using the teleprompter for the first time, but not much else. She was expected to show the more human side of her husband - to dispel much of the talk about him being unapproachable. Christie, on the other hand, was expected to be his usual flamboyant self, generating excitement and enthusiasm for the ticket.

So now that the speeches are over and ready to be filed in the history books, did they live up to expectations? Do you now see Romney as more approachable and "likable?" Did Christie deliver the shot of enthusiasm the GOP needed?

Ann Romney is wonderful, her speech was from the heart! Chris Christie's a man of his word and actually a tough guy. Gov. from New Mexico was fantastic and hit it head on. Paul Ryan was perfect and I do see him as future president. I think it is a great choice for VP from Romney basically because Ryan will be getting first hand experience from an accomplished executive and he will know the white house in and out and that will ready him to take the reigns after Romney patches up the disaster that Barack Obama has hurled upon the United States of America.
