Vaughn Drive will be down to one lane forstarting Friday, Feb. 22, sending eastbound drivers to Canton Street Extension to connect with North Main Street (GA 9).
This lane of the road between GA 9 and Hopewell Road is being closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. until March 1. Vaughn Drive will be fully open to through traffic at night and on the weekend.
Although westbound traffic won’t be detoured, you might want to think twice about using the road during the day, as detours can be expected.
The Alpharetta Department of Engineering and Public Works announced the lane closure is necessary for the construction of a right turn lane for the retirement residence that is being built along Vaughn Drive. The developer is constructing the turn lane and managing the lane closure.
