The seniors at the new high school plan to join the crew/rowing or equestrian teams at their respective colleges.

Cambridge High School is celebrating yet another impressive round of "firsts" as three outstanding seniors who received their National Letter of Intent this week.

The following students intend to sign:

Cassi Lobaugh has been rowing for Atlanta Junior Rowing Association since her sophomore year in high school.  During the spring of 2012, her board was undefeated.  Her team placed second in the southeast regionals which qualified them for the national championship where they placed 13th in the country.  Cassi's efforts earned her a spot as one of the select few to represent AJRA at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, MA in 2011 and 2012.  In the fall of 2013, Cassi will be attending Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL on a rowing scholarship.

Another senior at Cambridge High School to receive this high honor is Tori Bentley who has been issued a National Letter of Intent to ride on the hunt seat Equestrian Team at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.  Kansas State is a member of the Big 12 Conference and is currently ranked 5th in the nation among NCAA Equestrian programs. Tori has been a lifelong equestrian and has been trained by Sunny Stevens out of Stevehaven Stables. Recently, she qualified and participated in the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program, the USEF Pessoa Hunt Seat Medal Finals in Harrisburg, PA and the USET Talent Search Finals in Gladstone, NJ, where she earned a bronze medal of distinction.  Tori has been awarded both athletic and academic accommodations from Kansas State University where she will attend in the fall of 2013.
