Braves Pitcher Brandon Beachy to visit Alpharetta's North Park

The rookie sensation will stop by the ball fields to help support the Wish for Wendy Softball Challenge and Silent Auction.

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher and rookie sensation Brandon Beachy will take part in the Wish for Wendy Softball Challenge and Silent Auction at Alpharetta's ball fields on Saturday, Nov. 5.

The 12th Annual Wish For Wendy Softball Challenge and Silent Auction benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beachy is expected to attend from noon to 1 p.m.

Fans can meet Beachy and collect one of the limited autographed baseballs the pitcher will sign to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

In 2011 he shattered the Braves’ franchise record for strikeouts in a rookie season that had stood since 1905 when he K’d 169 in just 141 innings. Prior to making his Major League debut in September 2010, Brandon won the Minor League ERA title.

Fans are invited to come enjoy the fun, sample the food and join our mission to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. Softball, celebrities, music, and kids’ activities are just a few of the event highlights.

Silent auction items will include sports memorabilia from athletes including Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones, Jason Heyward, Freddie Freeman, Brian McCann, and Fran Tarkenton, gift certificates, art, salon services and more. Come for an hour or the day. Admission is free.
