Milton Grows Green and BSA Troop 3000 collect tons of paint.
Boy Scouts and volunteers from the Milton Grows Green Committee collected thousands of paint cans in a recycling event on Saturday, Feb. 11,.
BSA Troop 3000 from Birmingham United Methodist Church held a paint recycling event at their campground on the church grounds.
Despite the cold weather, the boys, joined by Milton Grows Green volunteers, collected more than 3,500 cans of paint from more than 240 residents. That means more than 8 tons of paint were saved from landfills.
Milton Grows Green (MGG) is a citizens' committee advocating responsibly managed growth by conserving and protecting resources, while preserving Milton's heritage and natural landscape for future generations.
