Amanda Lockwood Earns Another Lacrosse Honor

The AJC names the recent Milton High School graduate as its 2011-12 high school athlete of the year in lacrosse.

The honors keep piling on Milton High School's Amanda Lockwood, a star on the Eagles girls' lacrosse team. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution named her the High School Athlete of the Year in lacrosse.

Lockwood in her senior season at Milton had 45 goals and 18 assists. The Eagles won a third consecutive AAAAA championship, which was their seventh in eight years.

She has signed to play lacrosse at Vanderbilt University.
