Alpharetta to Broadcast Georgia-Florida Game in Downtown
The Bulldogs vs. Gators college football game may be too far for many local fans to attend, so the city will air the contest.
Florida might be too far to drive even for a Georgia-Florida game, so Alpharetta has come up with an alternative for fans. The city will have a live broadcast of the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida Gators SEC football game on Oct. 27.
The game will be broadcast across from City Hall in downtown Alpharetta. Pre-game festivities will begin at 2:30 p.m., with the live broadcast at 3:30 p.m. Hot wings, BBQ, cold beverages and other food and drink items will be available.
Kids should wear their Halloween costumes because they can trick or treat during halftime. The Alpharetta Business Association will hand out candy s they go door-to-door along the street.
Bring
- Game chairs
- fluffy blankets
- Foam fingers
Wear
- Your best orange, red or undead costume

Usually that means the section of Milton Avenue that the city blocks off for most special events, but I'll check with Kim Dodson at City Hall for the details.

As a house divided (I'm a Dawg, my husband's a Gator), we have a party at our house every year, but we might have to make next year's downtown if it becomes an annual event. How fun!
