Alpharetta Police, Firefighters to Haunt Downtown

The members of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety will operate a haunted house to benefit Alpharetta PAL.

Downtown Alpharetta will be filled with ghost and other monsters as police officers and firefighters exchange uniforms for costumes for a community Haunted House open today and Saturday.

The Haunted House benefits the Alpharetta Police Athletic League (PAL), which provides tutoring, sports, fitness and life lessons to underprivileged youth.

Haunted House

  • PAL Gym, 2 South Main St., (next to Alpharetta City Hall)
  • Friday, Oct. 26, 7-10 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 27, 5-6 p.m., 7-10 p.m.
  • Admission: $5 (under 6 free)

Concessions will be available for a nominal fee.

On Saturday, the event will begin at 5 p.m. Patrons may also try their luck at some challenging games. A Halloween costume contest for two different age groups will take place at 6 p.m. so patrons are encouraged to wear their cutest, scariest, or most original costumes for a chance to win cash prizes.

The haunted house will reopen on Saturday at 7 p.m. and remain open until 10 p.m.

All proceeds from the Haunted House will help support Alpharetta PAL and for use of a new Alpharetta PAL building.  Alpharetta PAL is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit community based outreach organization created to provide a variety of services to the youth of North Fulton County while at the same time establishing a bond of mutual respect, understanding and trust with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.
