Alpharetta residents Ivon Garcia and her husband Jose Francisco didn't quite make it all the way to Northside Hospital Monday morning when their newborn son, Joseph Francisco, decided to make an early entrance into the world, reports wsbtv.com.

The baby, who weighed 6 pounds and 9 ounces, was still attached to his mother by umbilical cord and not breathing when medics arrived on scene. He was resuscitated and transported to Northside Hospital where he and his mother are doing fine, according to the report.
