Start making plans for next weekend so you can get your children over to an Alpharetta fire station on Saturday, Jan. 14 for an open house.
The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety’s Fire Services division said the public is invited to the event at three Alpharetta Fire Stations. The open houses will run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Jan. 14.
Local residents and guests are invited to tour the stations, check out the equipment and speak to local firefighters.
Parents, bring a camera and take pictures of your children enjoying the sights and sounds of the fire stations, the firefighters and the really big fire engines.
Gary George, director of Alpharetta Public Safety, strongly encouraged city residents citizens to take advantage of this opportunity.
"Our citizens can meet their extraordinary firefighters and see firsthand their specialized equipment and skills. Children will enjoy the fire engines and have an opportunity to experience the fire safety house located at station one,” George said.
