Sen. John Albers, R-Roswell, recently visited with students at two of North Fulton’s top schools – Alpharetta Elementary School and Roswell North Elementary.

During his visit to Alpharetta Elementary School, Sen. Albers, who is a fourth generation firefighter and volunteer with the Alpharetta Fire Department, read to students and spent time emphasizing the importance of early childhood education and literacy as part of the “Fired Up For Reading” program, sponsored by the Alpharetta Fire Department.

“Investing in the education of our youth is imperative to securing a workforce that is able to meet the ever-changing demands of today’s innovative society,” said Sen. Albers. “Through both community involvement and parental engagement, especially during the early developmental years, we are helping our children become equipped with the tools they need to succeed in the years ahead.”

John Albers- quit reading to kids, go back to school get a degree and then get back to work. Everyone knows that your a "volunteer firefighter."

I find it shameful that you introduced yourself at your townhall last week by saying that if anyone in the audience heard strange beeps from the front, its his radio and he might have to go save people.
