Alpharetta Bank of North Georgia Executive Chairs Habitat Board
Beard replaced Phinney in leadership role for Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia.
Bradley C. Beard has been elected to serve as chairman of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia.
Heis a long-time volunteer with Habitat-NCG and was elected to its Board of Directors in 2007 and as the ministry’s treasurer in 2008. Beard is a senior vice president in Corporate Banking with Bank of North Georgia, a division of Synovus Bank, working out of its Alpharetta office.
He is a Georgia native, having been born and raised in North Fulton. He and his wife, Angela, and their two children now reside in Dunwoody.
Beard succeeds William R. Phinney, who stepped down as chairman of Habitat-NCG after four years in that role. Phinney, a retired senior executive with Equifax Inc., was initially elected to the ministry’s Board in 2006 and will continue to serve as a Board member.
Bill and his wife, Kay, are long-time residents of North Fulton where they are active in their church and the community. He is a senior elder at Roswell Presbyterian Church, where he participates in several ministries.
