Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park to Host Free Movie

The Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is partnering with Northside Hospital for its Movies in the Park showing of Ice Age 4: Continental Drift at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m. This free rain or shine event is open to all ages. In the event of rain, the venue has plenty of under-cover seating.

Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and professional face painters will roam the venue until the movie starts at 7:30 p.m. at sundown. The 25 feet by 30 feet inflatable movie screen will be set up in the venue’s orchestra section and seating will be available in the terrace seats and on the lawn so make sure to bring your blankets and low beach-style lawn chairs!

“We are excited to partner with Northside Hospital and we hope families and friends come out to enjoy a free night out at one of Alpharetta’s top attractions,” said Janet Rodgers, President and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau.  “It is a great way to give our community a chance to experience Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and we hope their referrals will continue to draw visitors to future concerts at the venue throughout the year.”

Free parking is also available and standard venue policies apply. No outside food or beverages are allowed with the exception of one factory sealed bottle of water per guest.  The concession areas will be open.
