“Hoops for a Cure” tournament will welcome 16 high school basketball teams (boys & girls) and a talented class of standout student-athletes to the campuses of River Ridge and _St. Francis High School_ on Saturday, Nov. 17.

This high flying, rim rattling eight-game basketball extravaganza will showcase some of Georgia’s and Alabama’s best high school talent.

The 3rd Annual “Hoops for a Cure” Classic  sponsored by Verizon, will tip-off the Georgia high school basketball season with some of the best match-ups of the 2012-13 season.

It will feature several nationally talented players in the country such as:

• Khalil Carter,(Brewbaker Tech),
• Nick Masterson,(River Ridge),
• Safiya Martin, (Sandy Creek),
• Nigia Greene, (St. Francis),
• Candice Williams, (St. Francis),
• Jordan Jones, (St. Francis),
• Kaiser Gates, (St. Francis),
• Freshman Phenom - Kobi Simmons, (St. Francis),
• Jalen Lewis,(GMC),
• Sean Brennan, (Roswell),
• Matt Beneduci, (Roswell),
• Tyrone Sam (high flying 2014 guard),
• Isaiah Core/Brandon Prince/Dalon Evans, (Huffman Vikings, out of Alabama),

• Recee Walker, (Sandy Creek) an excellent shooter and floor leader.

These back-board shattering, highly anticipated match-ups will give basketball fans from across the Southeast the opportunity to witness eight games that will showcase a number of the country's Top 100 college recruits competing for national rankings.
