Rotary Club of Alpharetta Donates $250 to Susan G. Komen Walk for Breast Cancer

The Alpharetta Rotary Club donated $250 on behalf of Paula Benson who will be walking in the Susan G. Komen Walk for Breast Cancer in memory of her friend, Michelle Michaels. Michelle battled breast cancer for 6 and one-half years before losing her battle; participating in this walk gives Paula and others like her the opportunity to raise funds to support the fight against breast cancer. Participants will cover approximately 60 miles during the 3-day walk which will be held in Atlanta October 19-21, 2012. For more information on the organization, visit www.the3day.org.

“We are proud to support such a worthy organization and of the work and dedication of Paula to its cause,” said Bill Weeks, President of Rotary Club of Alpharetta.
