Hotel Equities recently promoted Alpharetta resident Heather Brinson to Director of Sales for the Courtyard by Marriott Buford, located at the Mall of Georgia.

Ms Brinson has responsibility for initiating sales and implementing the marketing strategy for both corporate and leisure clients by capitalizing on the hotel's amenities and services.  She works closely with the General Manager Matt Crall and Hotel Manager Rosa Guerra to meet goals.

With more than 11 years in the hospitality industry, Ms. Blinson started her career as a management trainee at the Renaissance Midtown. She moved on to spend more than seven years as a National Sales Manager for the Ritz Carlton brand of hotels.  Before her promotion, she served as the Director of Sales for the TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel in Kennesaw, managed by Hotel Equities, where she was responsible for increasing the hotel's overall revenue.

Active in the community, Ms. Brinson volunteers at her children's school and at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church.  She enjoys playing tennis, traveling and spedning time with her family.

She holds a B.S. degree in hospitality management from the University of Alabama.  She and her husband Jared are the parents of two young children.
