Alpharetta Lions Say Eating Pancakes Good for Heart and Vision

If only Will Ferrell's quote as Buddy in the movie Elf (2003) was true: "We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup."  Wouldn't it follow that pancakes loaded with syrup were good for you?

Well, this upcoming weekend you can ignore your doctor and New Year's resolution in support of a great cause, good for both heart and vision.  In partnership with North Fulton Community Charities’ (NFCC) 2nd Annual Have a Heart Campaign, the Alpharetta Lions Club and Original Pancake House will serve up deliciously hot pancakes and tasty syrup!

What could be better than a premium breakfast for $5 plus a warm feeling that comes from donating to local charities?

"Many people may not know that Lions support vision services provided by North Fulton Community Charities." says Alpharetta Lions Club President Jason Blalock.  "Eye exams and glasses can cost a hundred dollars or more and local Lions field calls from NFCC when a citizen needs vision related help."

The Alpharetta Lions Club and Original Pancake House will serve up pancakes on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, 8 am - until the batter runs out.  The pancake breakfast will be located at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, 69 N Main St, Alpharetta.  Come early and savor the syrup, loaded with sugar or sugar free.
