A Weekend of Fun for College Students

The Rotarians of Alpharetta and Sandy Springs recently came together to sponsor a weekend of fun and fellowship for college students involved in the Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP).

The festivities began with the students’ arrival at Spalding Charter School in Sandy Springs late Friday afternoon, followed by a dinner and bonfire. On Saturday, students visited the Georgia Aquarium and then went on to visit their choice of the World of Coke or a tour of CNN. The day concluded with rock climbing, swimming and dinner at the YMCA Metro in Alpharetta. After breakfast on Sunday, the students were transported back to their colleges. Students were housed in Rotarian host homes over the weekend.

“We had a great time working with our fellow Rotarians to host this event for these students. We enjoy seeing the great potential these young people have as our future Rotarians,” said Bill Weeks, President of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta.
